Marguerita is a gypsy artist and free spirit. She lives inside of Margaret (Peggy) Andreas; and sometimes she comes dancing out!

Peggy has a daytime job as a Program Assistant for the National Research Center for Coal and Energy at West Virginia University. There she publishes a newsletter twice monthly called "Currents," which connects researchers, teachers and students to research opportunities in energy and environmental sciences.

Peggy dropped out of art school because she was told by the professors that her art was "too cartoonish." She worked in many jobs and finally became a secretary out of a desperate urge to survive. She worked her way up the office ladder using her interests in art, english and science; and landed at a university where she could take advantage of the cultural environment.

Her beloved sweetheart Greg says this about her: "Peggy loves nature. I've seen her carry an acorn in her pocket for a year, or pick up a beautiful leaf and display it in our home as if it were a precious work of art. Her drawings come straight from her brain; and when she is drawing she goes into a world of her own. Eventually she emerges with something to show me again."

Marguerita writes: "I believe that every human being is, essentially, an artist. Sometimes, however, it takes a while to decide on the proper medium! Me, I love tribal art, beautiful graffiti, Grimjack comic books, primitive art, pagan art, and childrens' art, voodoo flags and crop circles. I love Vincent Van Gogh, Marc Chagall, Vali Myers, R. Crumb, Paul Cezanne, Patti Smith, Elsie Russell, and Bob Dylan. Bob's drawings delight me and his songs thrill me and inspire me and challenge me to express my own self. I love drawing animals and people, and I especially love drawing Bob. There are so many sides of him, it's like have a million people in one! (A few animals, too--um, no offense meant, Bob!) I thank Giulio for giving me a place to display my work...especially, an Italian place! I'm sure I've lived in Italy during a couple of previous lives, and I want all you Italians out there to know that I miss that big old Boot! Te Amo!"
